Demon Slayer Cosplay Entangles Fans As Mother Spider Demon

With Demon Slayer season 2 in full swing, a talented cosplayer takes on the role of villain Mother Spider Demon.

If you are a fan of Demon Slayer and I suspect you might be, you’ll already know that season 2 of the anime series has already got the ball rolling over on Crunchyroll and Funimation after two years.

Avid viewers have probably already watched the Demon Slayer movie Mugen Train when it came to theatres in Japan last year and then North American theatres earlier this year. The smash-hit film brought in somewhere around nine billion USD which only goes to show that the Shonen series is one of the most popular anime’s going.

To celebrate the show swooping into its second season, cosplayer mayweda takes on the Mother Spider Demon from the anime show with her spider-like appeal.

Mayweda loves nothing more than dressing up as their favourite anime characters from Kasumi Miwa from the Jujutsu Kaisen series to Carmilla from Netflix’s Castlevania. This time, Mayweda slips into the persona of Mother Spider from Demon Slayer.

Paying attention to every aspect of the cruel and murderous demon’s appearance, Mayweda dons themself in her layered kimono, beaded necklace composed of teal and purple orbs and decorative anklets. She also goes barefoot and has black nail polish on her toenails; the lower front of the kimono is open, exposing her spider-like long legs.

Of course, no Mother Spider cosplay would be complete without the two maroon (or red lines as in this cosplay) on each of her cheeks and those eerie x-shaped pupils. Mother Spider Demon has a touching yet heartbreaking backstory and Mayweda has done an incredible job at bringing this member of the Spider Family into the real world.
