Cold War & Warzone Playlist Update and Patch Notes Today (September 30)

Season 5 might be coming to an end, but there’s still one more Playlist Update set to arrive in both Cold War and Warzone later today (September 30).

Fans are eager to know if the final Playlist Update of the season will be a banger, or if we’ll be left twiddling our thumbs waiting for Season 6 to kick off on October 7th.

Warzone and Cold War Playlist Update Release Time

The latest Playlist Update will go live in both Cold War and Warzone today (Thursday, September 30) at 10AM PT / 6PM BST.

A patch will not be required for download, as the update will be applied in-game at the aforementioned time.

What’s New In Today’s Update?

Usually, the Call of Duty team releases a ‘weekly briefing’ where they inform players what to expect from the upcoming week in Call of Duty titles such as Warzone, Cold War, and COD: Mobile.

Unfortunately, the team seems to have been more occupied with preparing for Season 6 and the Vanguard Betas as we have received very little intel on what to expect from this week’s Playlist Update.

What we do know though is that as we approach the final weekend of Season 5, Treyarch Studios has announced Double XP and Double Battle Pass XP will be live from October 1st to October 4th in both Cold War and Warzone.

Fans can also expect plenty of new and existing modes to be rotated into Cold War Multiplayer, and likely another week of Iron Trials ’84 in Warzone as the mode has become a fan favorite in the community.
