Celebrities Pay Tribute to Bob Saget After His Sudden Passing
Bob Saget, stand-up comedian, Full House actor, and former American Funniest Home Videos host, passed away Sunday, January 9, in his hotel room in Orlando. He was 65 years old.
Saget was found unresponsive and was declared dead on site, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s office. No cause of death has been confirmed at this time, but officials say there was no sign of drug use or foul play.
Bob Saget became a staple in American households, earning the nickname “America’s dad” both as Danny Danner on the sitcom Full House, which aired from 1987 to 1995, and as the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997.
Following the news of his death, many celebrities paid tribute to Saget, who was universally beloved in the stand-up comedy world and in Hollywood. Many of his Full House costars honored him, including John Stamos, Dave Coulier, and the Olsen twins, as well as many comedians, including Billy Crystal, Jim Carrey, and Whoopi Goldberg.

“Bob was the most loving, compassionate, and generous man,” the Olsen twins said in a statement to E! News. “We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has. We are thinking of his daughters, wife, and family, and are sending our condolences.”
