Burna Boy wins ‘Best International Act’ at 2023 BET Awards

Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burnaboy, a Nigerian musician, has received the award for Best International Act at the 2023 edition of the Black Entertainment Awards, BET.

The ‘African Giant’ defeated Ayra Starr, Central Cee, and Stormzy, among others, to win the award.

Burna Boy’s fourth straight win in the Best International Act category made him the only African artist to accomplish the feat, having previously won the award in 2019, 2020, 2021, and now 2023.

He was absent at the award ceremony.

His 2022 album ‘Love, Damini’ was a global success, and he previously won a BET Award in the same category in 2019 and 2021.

Aya Nakamura, Ayra Starr, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, Tiakola, and Uncle Waffles were among the other candidates.
