Bloody jobsworth council workers | Golf Monthly

I feel for you. I took an old washing machine to the tip in a trailer. They wouldn't let me in with the trailer, because I needed a permit. To get a permit, you have to visit the council offices, request some tickets and use them.
I asked "if it was in the back of my car, could a leave it here?"....reply "yes, of course."
"if it was in the back of my car, and I decided to unload it before entering the premises?" could I leave it here?"...."yes, of course, no problem"
So I drive the car and trailer out of the waste site, carry the washing machine 200 yards to be told I couldn't leave it, 'cause it had been in a trailer.
So I carried it back to the car, opened the boot, put one corner in the boot, lift it out, take it back in.....and guess what? They let me leave it.

Me, annoyed and grumpy?
