Who is Gwen Stefani?

The band achieved significant success with singles such as Just a Girl, Spiderwebs and Didn’t Speak from their breakthrough album, Tragic Kingdom, in 1995. They also released hits like Hey Baby, and It’s My Life in later years.

During No Doubt‘s hiatus, Stefani embarked on a solo pop career in 2004 and released her debut studio album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. The album drew inspiration from 1980s pop music and received critical acclaim. It produced six successful singles, including What You Waiting For?, Rich Girl, Hollaback Girl and Cool. Hollaback Girl topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the first U.S. digital download to sell one million copies.

Her third solo album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like (2016), reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2017, she released her first full-length Christmas album; You Make It Feel Like Christmas, which charted with 19 tracks on Billboard’s Holiday Digital Song Sales chart in the U.S.

Back to their relationship, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton initially crossed paths in 2014 while serving as coaches on the television show, The Voice. Their first encounter occurred during the taping of Season 7 in April 2014.

At that time, both Stefani and Shelton were still married to their respective partners. Stefani was married to Gavin Rossdale, a rock musician, while Shelton was married to Miranda Lambert, a fellow country singer.

On November 25, 2014, Stefani shared her first photo with Shelton on the set of The Voice, using a love caption.

Their bond grew stronger when they individually went through difficult breakups in the summer of 2015. Shelton and Lambert divorced in July, followed by Stefani and Rossdale’s separation in August.

Stefani revealed during an interview with Howard Stern in July 2016 that she was taken aback when Shelton disclosed his split from Lambert to The Voice team in July 2015. She felt shocked and exposed as she had not wanted anyone to know about her struggles. However, this shared vulnerability brought them closer, and Stefani eventually confided in Shelton about the end of her marriage.

Their connection deepened, and soon after, they began dating, according to reports. The representative for Shelton also confirmed their romance after they were seen together during Halloween weekend of the same year, generating much speculation about their relationship status.

The couple made their public debut at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where they appeared joyous and inseparable throughout the evening.

In 2019, Shelton expressed in an interview with Billboard that Stefani had saved his life, emphasising their shared experiences of going through high-profile divorces with fellow musicians.

They collaborated on Stefani’s Christmas album and performed together on The Voice in 2017. Their romantic relationship continued to thrive, and they released the song “Nobody But You”, which became their first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Country chart. The couple also released the quarantine-inspired ballad “Happy Anywhere” during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shelton took on the role of a father figure to Stefani’s three sons, and they embraced their family life together. Stefani expressed gratitude to Shelton for helping raise her children in a Father’s Day tribute.

Stefani temporarily left The Voice but returned for the show’s 19th season, where she and Shelton resumed their roles as coaches. They got engaged in October 2020 and tied the knot in a private ceremony at Shelton’s Oklahoma on July 3, 2021.

To celebrate their first wedding anniversary in 2022, Stefani shared a video montage from their wedding day on Instagram, accompanied by a heartfelt caption. Shelton also posted a photo from the ceremony, expressing his love and appreciation for Stefani.

In April 2023, the couple attended the C.M.T. Awards together, marking their first public appearance on the red carpet as a married couple. Stefani performed with Carly Pearce, and Shelton took the stage for his performances.

Blake Shelton Relationship

Shelton married his longtime girlfriend Kaynette Gern on November 17, 2003. However, their marriage ended in divorce in 2006.

In 2005, Shelton met singer Miranda Lambert at the C.M.T.’s 100 Greatest Duets Concert. They began dating and collaborated on the song “Home,” which became a chart-topping hit. After four years of dating, Shelton proposed to Lambert on May 9, 2010. They got married on May 14, 2011, in Boerne, Texas.

Shelton’s father, Dick, passed away on January 17, 2012. This was a difficult time for Shelton, as he had previously lost his brother, Richie, in a car accident when he was 14 years old. Shelton and Lambert wrote the song “Over You” as a tribute to Richie, and it became a highly acclaimed and award-winning track.

The emotional impact of their breakup served as inspiration for Stefani’s songwriting and several songs on “No Doubt’s” album Tragic Kingdom, including Don’t Speak, Sunday Morning and Hey You!

Later, Stefani met Gavin Rossdale, the lead singer and guitarist of the band Bush, in 1995. They got married on September 14, 2002, in London, with a second wedding ceremony held in Los Angeles two weeks later. Stefani and Rossdale have three sons: born in 2006, 2008, and 2014.

However, their marriage faced difficulties, and Stefani filed for divorce from Rossdale in August 2015, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalised on April 8, 2016, with an agreement on the division of their assets.
