She’s sued her date, Richard Jordan, for over $10,000 (over N4m) for intentional infliction of emotional distress after he didn’t turn up for the date.
Details of the court proceedings have been captured in a viral video, with Ms Short at loggerheads with the judge.
Short got into a shouting match with the judge after he disagreed with her that Jordan could not be accused of perjury.
The court proceedings were held online via Zoom, with the judge disagreeing with Short if Jordan’s absence at the planned date could be classified as a criminal offence.
The presiding Judge, Herman Marable Jr said, advised Short to file her case at circuit court as district court was inappropriate for such matters.
Short was, however, muted and jumped off the Zoom call.
According to the New York Post, Short, unemployed since early June, has a history of filing frivolous lawsuits.
In 2020, she filed a suit against AT&T and sued the Flint Police Department for $300 million; however, all her claims have been dismissed.
