“Always been an egomaniac” – Wayne Grady criticizes Greg Norman on his conduct in ongoing Golf war
Wayne Grady, a former PGA Championship victor, has joined the chorus of critics denouncing Greg Norman‘s LIV Golf circuit, which receives funding from Saudi Arabia. Grady also called out his old Presidents Cup colleague on social media.
Grady accused his peer of embarking on a years-long personal mission to undermine the legitimacy of the PGA tour in a heated Facebook rant that was uploaded to the 67-year-personal old’s account. He posted on Facebook, saying, “From someone who has known Greg for 50 years, Greg is entirely about Greg.”
Wayne Grady posts on Facebook criticizing Greg Norman for being “selfish”
The Australian professional golfer, Wayne Grady expresses his disappointment over two things, the first being PGA Tour being called “PGA” and the second being Greg Norman being “selfish. “I have 2 comments. Please refrain from referring to it as the PGA in the future. That would be the PGA Tour. The second piece of evidence comes from a person who has known Greg for the past half a century. Greg is just concerned about himself.”
Wayne further continued, “He has spent the last three decades making an effort to win against the Tour. My respect for him has diminished due to the accomplishments he has made and the contributions he has made to the game of golf in Australia. It is an absolute embarrassment that he would even attempt to minimize the contributions that previous greats have made to the development and creation of the PGA Tour as it exists now.”
Wayne’s disappointment can clearly be seen through his message. He exclaimed how Norman‘s actions have affected and are continuing to affect not only PGA but the world of the sport. He stated, “You should be embarrassed, Shark. You have no right to be here. Yesterday, I paid my respects to Jack Newton at his memorial service, where I was surrounded by genuine professional golfers who have a deep respect for tradition and history.”
