A Buccaneers' job on the line

He’s played in the XFL and in the NFL. He’s played for the Jets, 49ers and Bucs. But on the eve of Tampa Bay’s training camp, offensive lineman Dan Goodspeed hopes his traveling days are over. Goodspeed knows after 3 years of professional football this is a make or break training camp for him. “It’s a high point in my career right now. I’m to the point where I should be far enough along developed that I should be able to get out there and play” Goodspeed said. A recent newlywed, Goodspeed said he’ll rely on his wife Amy for emotional support during the next 4 weeks, talking to her by phone ever night. He’s saying staying positive will be important. Almost 100 players will report to training camp when it opens Friday, but only 53 players will make the opening day roster.
