49ers rookie Drake Jackson SLAMMED with a massive $300k dinner bill as a prank

Drake Jackson just signed for the 49ers as their rookie DE and was soon met with a grim reality of life in the NFL. The sport of football pays handsomely when you’re on top of the game and usually the dinner will cost somewhere around $300k. That’s what Jackson thought when he was pranked by his teammates during the rookie dinner bill.

Various teams have different ways to welcome new players to the team. The 49ers always prank their rookie players by showing them a massive bill, and this time it was Jackson’s turn.

A video went viral on the internet where the 49ers rookie was asked to pay a massive bill of $322,391.05 as the 49ers went for dinner. Jackson was the new kid on the block, therefore it was he who had to pay the whole bill. However, the 49ers DE was terrified after looking at the bill that had around $200k in gratuity and just over $7,600 for the meal with the suggested gratuity.

This was a massive amount for Jackson to pay. However, it all turned out to be a prank that was played by the veteran players on the rookie. 49ers DE Arik Armstead was quick to clarify the whole situation before it went viral on social media.

Armstead stated that the bills were for only $7,500 out of which three veterans paid $1000 each and the remaining $4500 was split among the rookies.

“Y’all silly if you thought a dinner can cost 300k. It was a prank. The waitress went overboard. The dinner was 7500 me and 2 other vets gave 1k towards it. The rooks split 4500,” Arik wrote on Twitter.

NFL Twitter went berserk after looking at the amount that was to be paid by Drake Jackson

Drake Jackson must have been in a serious situation, as he just signed a rookie deal worth $5.8 million and was asked to pay around $300k for just dinner. NFL Twitter went viral after the clip of the bill was released and everyone was startled after looking at the amount on the bill. Social media was still unaware that it was a prank and decided to call out the veterans for fooling the young rookie.

Many couldn’t believe the amount and started to assume the things they would have eaten. The reactions on NFL Twitter were hilarious, take a look at some of them down below.

Drake Jackson was relieved after finding out it was all a prank and he wouldn’t need to pay the humongous amount. On a more professional front, the 49ers look comfortable as they currently sit on top of their division with three games to go. They will face the Washington Commanders in their next game.
