Controversial Lagos socialite, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, known for staging stunts at industry gatherings once again pulled one on guests and viewers of the 8th edition of the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCAs) in Lagos on Friday.
Called the Pretty Mike of Lagos, he has mastered the art of performing show-stopping stunts.
Unpredictable, bizarre, freakish, amusing and sometimes creepy, the club owner gets tongues wagging every time with his public appearances.
Here are 10 times Pretty Mike has stirred controversies with his appearance.

In December 2016, Pretty Mike caused a major stir on social media when he turned up at a wedding with two ladies on a dog leash. He was spotted weeks later around the streets of Lagos continuing the trend.
While it got many questioning the bizarre appearance, it also fuelled conversations around gender inequality.
The socialite was then arrested and made to sign an official statement vowing “to stop whatever act of putting girls on a leash or any other degrading treatment to ladies and guys”.
Men and women in red robes
As a guest at a 50th birthday party, Pretty Mike caught the attention of the entire gathering with an “underworld” entrance. He was spotted with men and women in red robes at the ceremony earlier in March 2022.

Three horse-women
Pretty Mike again stunned his host and several guests at a 60th birthday party in February 2022. His appearance this time was with three ladies dressed in black jumpsuits and horse heads.

Plus-size chief priest
Appearing at a wedding ceremony accompanied by a man dressed as a traditionalist has to be something scary for a highly religious Nigerian society. But, Pretty Mike pretty well knew that when in August 2021, he turned up at a wedding with a man looking like he was out to do the bidding of the African gods. As you’ll imagine, this too was well orchestrated by the Lagos socialite.

Three underworld messengers
Following his successful stunt in August with a male priest, Pretty Mike must have thought he could pull one with the opposite gender for balance. He did! Two months after, in October 2021, this time in the oil-rich, Port Harcourt, he appeared at a ceremony with fierce-looking ladies dressed as traditional African priestesses and maidens. He definitely got Port Harcourt cheering.

Six pregnant women
Asides from his show-stopping stunts, Pretty Mike generates quite a stir with regular relationship tips online. In November 2020, photos emerged of him with six pregnant women.

One big family
Starting well is cool, but finishing strong is key. When you pull a stunt with expectant mothers, following up with baby arrivals wouldn’t hurt, would it?! One showstopper knows this. Months after his “six pregnant women” stunt, he’ll later appear with these women, this time with their babies. Pretty move Mike!

Another underworld antic
It is either this man has a thing for the metaphysical or he just genuinely enjoys the attention he gets from these stunts. Again, he took the shine off a celebrant last December.
Actress, Eniola Badmus had gathered industry professionals, family, friends and fans to celebrate her 20th year in the industry. Pretty Mike couldn’t help but do his thing – become the centrepiece.

He definitely got the attention of Paparazzis with his unique outfit, but what got the world talking would be the poor lamb he brought to the gathering of industry greats.
