'She was a hefty girl': Bride's brother's brutal roast at her wedding leaves everyone in tears
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: During a wedding reception, the brother of a bride delivered a humorous speech that had guests in stitches. The video of the speech, shared on TikTok by user @isaac9ice, shows a man named Sean poking fun at his younger sister, Lindsey, in front of their loved ones at the outdoor reception.
Newlyweds Lindsey and Adam were sitting at the head table when her older sibling Sean took to the podium to share the funny anecdote about his relationship with the bride, while the crowd laughed heartily at his comedic remarks. "We first met in the early '90s. I can't say I was overly interested in meeting her, but my parents felt I wasn't enough," he joked while the crowd roared with laughter, during the joyous celebration. The video has garnered over seven million views and hundreds of comments from viewers.

"When she was born, she was a big girl. Some would say 'hefty'. Nine pounds and 10 ounces," he continued. "They wheeled her out into the hallway, and my first word to her was "gross." We locked eyes and there it started, a sibling rivalry." He told the guests that Lindsey's first word to him was "sabotage," and as she grew up, she became an expert in teasing him and getting away with it. "She was my shadow. She followed me everywhere. She studied me. She knew what made me happy and exactly how to set me off," he explained.
"She would stand in front of glass and hand me marbles and love every minute of the result." Sean added that, Lindsey was skilled at manipulating their parents and grandparents, so they would always be on her side. "My grandparents developed a points system where we would score points for doing good deeds and being good to one another, but this system failed," he recalled. "When a fight was brought to the attention of any superior, I had no chance. It literally took video footage for my family to take my side after a fight had broken out."
Sean reminisced about how he and his sister used to spend their summers camping with their grandparents and to keep themselves entertained, they created their own evening news show where they would record themselves recapping the day's events. "Halfway through the second season, episode seven, she went down," he said. "She hit me, she pushed me, she spit on me... and I pushed her away. Immediately she ran to my grandparents. 'Sean hit me. Sean is bad'. I got in trouble and once again I was told, "Sean, negative points." So here I am, Granny, Lindsey is sitting at 160 points, and here I am at negative 5." At the time, he realized that the incident had been captured on tape and he showed the footage to their grandparents to prove his innocence.
"My whole life I've been trying to feel as good as I did in that moment," he said. "My grandparents literally turned their heads toward her. She had been exposed." After teasing his sister for three minutes straight, Sean's speech took an emotional turn as he shared everything he admired and cherished about her. "Now that I've made Lindsey look like a terrible person. I'll have you know she's not," he said. "When I think about my sister, I think authentic. There are not many people like her, and I feel truly blessed to have such an amazing person to grow up with."
Sean expressed his admiration for Lindsey, describing her as a person who is generous and kind, and someone that everyone can rely on. "She's never afraid to say what she thinks, and she will give her opinion even if it's not what you want to hear," he claimed. "She kept me in line. She'll keep Adam in line, and I really don't know what I would do without my shadow. She's organized and on the ball, and there are people like me who procrastinate and leave everything until the last minute, like this speech," he joked again, before sharing some words about his brother-in-law.
"Adam, I liked you from the start. Maybe because you would laugh at my jokes while my sister would just sit there shaking her head, or because you're into sports and a good athlete yourself," he said. "But I'll have you know I've never seen my sister so confident, relaxed, and happy, and to our family that says a lot. You're always willing to give a helping hand and half a beer, and at the end of the day, that's enough for me. I'm really excited to get to know you better through the years and couldn't think of a better person to be with Lindsay,'" he added, having everyone raise their glasses for a toast. "On behalf of our family, Adam, welcome, and congratulations to the both of you," he concluded.
